Connectivity
Eduserv offers scalable, dedicated bandwidth right up to multi-gigabit throughput.  All network connectivity and infrastructure is fully resilient, with no single point of failure.

Physical Security 
Our Data Centre is equipped with a state-of-the-art security system to prevent unauthorised access to your equipment. Access is limited to authorised personnel to ensure secure data, with the buildings manned 24/7 and protected by sophisticated alarm and monitoring systems. Within the Data Centre itself, all racks are enclosed and locked.

Network Security
As part of a fully managed solution all internet services are protected by a multi-tier, highly available firewall and VPN service.  Eduserv is also able to provide additional dedicated firewall and intrusion detection services dedicated to individual customers, where additional levels of security are required. 

System Security
All systems are configured, fully secured and tested before being connected to a publicly accessible network. Eduserv conduct penetration testing against the secured infrastructure, to ensure that all aspects of the service are secure against attack.  Only once the infrastructure is secure will the service be released to provide live content. Penetration testing and reporting is carried out at regular intervals throughout the life of the service, to ensure continuous security for all components of the service.

Guaranteed power
Each data center has full power backup in case of an outage. Generators, in combination with UPS systems, guarantee maximum availability. Eduserv’s industry-leading Service Level Agreements (SLA) define the level of guaranteed availability, ranging from 99.5% to 99.99%. The configuration of the electrical connection for your equipment depends on your specific requirements.

The following power options are available, although local regulations may dictate some variations.

Environmental control
All facilities are equipped with redundant cooling equipment. Down-flow cooling units guarantee maximum cooling for your equipment with room temperature maintained at 18 to 25 ºC with a humidity level of 40% - 60%. All Data Centre related equipment, such as cooling equipment, electrical systems and fire control systems, is monitored around the clock.

Fire protection
Eduserv's Data Centres are equipped with fire detection and automated gas-based fire suppression systems as a first line defence. Argon, FM-200 or CEA is used across Interxion’s facilities, dependant on the local fire regulations.  For additional protection, Eduserv use Very Early Smoke Detection Alarms to gain the earliest possible notification.
