Victim Support unveils new website

Victim Support, the independent charity for victims and witnesses of crime in England and Wales, has recently launched its new website (www.victimsupport.org.uk). The site was developed by Eduserv using Sitecore and we are also providing hosting and ongoing support.

Victim Support wanted a new website that non-technical staff across their organisation could contribute to and maintain through a content management system (CMS). It was also vital that the redesigned site was fully extensible to be able to meet their longer term business needs.

Following a requirements workshop with Victim Support stakeholders to ensure we fully understood their needs, Eduserv put together a set of functional requirements for the website. These included ensuring that the site was built to comply with the 'AA' standard of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

We then appointed one of our design agency partners, Tape, to develop the wireframes and CSS/HTML templates for the site while Eduserv completed the back-end development in Sitecore 6.0 and set up a hosting and support environment.

The project was delivered on time to a challenging timescale and Eduserv looks forward to being able to support Victim Support as they grow and develop their web presence.
