Eduserv kicks off redevelopment of the Rugby Football Union website

Eduserv has been awarded the contract to carry out a major redevelopment of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) website. Eduserv will work with the RFU to implement a host of new functions and features to their website (www.rfu.com).

The existing RFU site is a large and complex website that contains features such as interactive forums, fixtures, statistics and ticket information.

Eduserv’s developers will be writing custom APIs (Application Programme Interface) to integrate with these elements and more. The new site will be rebuilt using Sitecore, one of the leading Content Management Systems (CMS).

Eduserv developer Iain Baughen comments,”The APIs will provide a new feature rich website for the RFU. We will also be writing tools to automate the migration of several thousand content and news items from various site sections on to the new site.“
