Eduserv, the not-for-profit IT service provider to the education and public sector, is moving to new offices in central Bath.
The new office location is at Royal Mead, Railway Place – a few steps from Bath Spa station and the heart of the city centre.
Eduserv was established in 1999 as a not-for-profit IT group following ten years of informal partnership between UK universities and a team based at the University of Bath.
In the ten years since it was established, Eduserv has expanded from 20 people to over 100 staff and has built up a client base that includes universities and colleges across the UK, and leading public sector organisations such as the DVLA, the Department for Children, School and Families and the NHS. The growth of the organisation meant that staff were spread across three different offices on Charlotte Street in Bath.
Eduserv has decided to move to cater for the continued growth of the organisation. The new offices benefit from over 14,000 square feet spread over two floors. This will allow all Eduserv staff to be based in one building, as well as making sure there is space for future recruitment.
Stephen Butcher, Chief Executive of Eduserv, comments:
Bath is a very special location for Eduserv, we were born out of shared services at Bath University and have gone from strength to strength ever since. The move to Royal Mead is recognition of our commitment to stay in Bath, where we have benefited from recruiting highly talented and skilled people.
The new offices provide a modern and attractive working environment that will benefit existing employees, and cater for our continuing success. Having been spread over three different buildings, and increasingly finding ourselves needing more space, we felt it was time to move to bigger offices. Royal Mead provided us with the space we needed and we’re looking forward to working together from a single site to support our clients.
