Virtualisation Focus Group

Virtualisation Focus Group
In response to the growing use of virtualisation technologies in Higher and Further Education, Eduserv is forming a Virtualisation Focus Group.

The group will focus on two main areas:
1. The use and licensing of virtualisation products.
2. The effect that using virtualisation technologies has on third parties’ software particularly usage rights.

The inaugural meeting is being held at the University of Birmingham on Wednesday, October 21st. If you are interested in joining the group, then please e-mail: jenny.carroll@eduserv.org.uk

13:30  - 15:30    After lunch the discussion the discussion will include the following topics;

      • Update on negotiation for Chest Agreements
      • Server Virtualisation
      • Desktop Virtualisation
      • Effects of virtualisation technologies on third party vendors licensing terms and conditions
      • Any other business

        Other suggestions for topics are welcome.
