Security Software Focus Group

The purpose of the group is to share experiences and best practice with regards to the use, management, implementation, and purchase of security software within the academic community.

There will be two presentations:

- David Phillips of the Open University will talk about Botnets
- Robbin Ferris of Edinburgh Napier University will talk about web filters

In addition, we will discuss the status of current negotiations with major anti-virus software suppliers and suggestions for new Chest Agreements.
