MindGenius v3.5 is being released on Thursday 18 March 2010.  This new version is free by download from the MindGenius website to all sites who purchased v3 through the Chest Agreement. New sites joining the Chest Agreement will also receive the latest version of the software.

Product description

MindGenius is a mind mapping application that allows students to capture and visualise ideas and information.  The unique Map Explorer in MindGenius allows you to navigate through large amounts of information with ease, go onto analyse and categorise your map, and start to see visual links between ideas, all helping you to develop understanding and clarity on the way ahead.  MindGenius helps with collaborative learning, essays, projects, class presentations, study, mind mapping, and lesson planning.

The latest version 3.5 of MindGenius contains an integrated Gantt view, providing extensive project management capability within MindGenius without the need to export to other applications. Gantt view is included in MindGenius Education as a solution for the management of student, school, college and university projects. A unique feature of the MindGenius Gantt view is the ability to use the map explorer to focus on specific areas of the project plan. This makes it much easier to plan and schedule projects, easily switching back and forward between the map and Gantt views which are continually in sync with each other.

Pricing

Link to Overview for details. Price banding for UK sites is based on JISC Banding. Eduserv and MindGenius have agreed on price banding for Ireland.

Key dates

• This is a rolling agreement.
• Pricing has been agreed until 31 December 2010.

User permissions

Machines on which the software is installed must be under the jurisdiction of the institution. Software must not be installed on student or employee owned machines.
