Springer Major Reference Works Key Features

News

Encyclopedia of Psychology and Religion by Leeming (2010) is now available for £230.32 in perpetuity through the Chest Agreement.  This is a 27% discount off the list price from Springer.  This new title in Humanities joins another recent addition in Medicine -- the Handbook of Disease Burdens and Quality of Life Measures by Preedy (2010) is now available for £1,485 in perpetuity through the Chest Agreement.  This is a 25% discount off the list price from Springer.  A minimum order spend of £2,000 applies to the Chest Agreement.

Springer's expertise in structuring and organizing reference works enables large international author teams to present their knowledge uniformly and systematically, thus ensuring easy access to the content.  This licence agreement includes electronic versions of key reference works covering subject areas including: Biomedical and Life Sciences, Business and Economics, Chemistry and Material Sciences, Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Science, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, Mathematics, Medicine, and Physics and Astronomy.

Over 100 of Springer's major reference works are available through the Chest Agreement as electronic books at heavily discounted prices. E-books under the Agreement are purchased in perpetuity with a full site licence and unlimited number of concurrent users. Sites can purchase works at any time during the Agreement but must make a minimum order spend of £2,000.

Licence type

Perpetual site licence with normal Eduserv Agreement terms and conditions of use -- Eduserv General Licence Conditions for Datasets (Revised Edition effective from 1 January 2008).  Downloading of the Data is allowed at any institution for use by any member of staff or student in accordance with the "Code of Conduct" for use of Data.

To view pricing in particular subject areas please follow the links below:

Sites are able to create their own packages of titles, picking and mixing titles from any of the subject areas.  There is no minimum spend for each subject area as long as the overall spend is over £2,000. 

Key dates

Sites are able to make purchases at any time throughout the Agreement period.
