Independent expert Peter Yeadon shares his recent work within the HE sector, developing a "Smart Campus" vision which has positioned the SharePoint platform at the centre of efforts to meet and exceed the rising expectations of students and staff.
Peter Gilbert shares how the University of West of England gained some quick wins with their early SharePoint implementations and their move into more strategic teaching and administration applications. He highlights the need to tailor team sites. |

Case examples of SharePoint in the HEIs
Colin Farrow and Diane Montgomery explain the development of the student portal about to be launched at Glasgow University which will enable students to collect their own information from various university systems (e.g. SITS, library services, printing, the VLE). They share the challenge of developing a single sign on and their vision for a feature rich communication and collaborative environment.
Dr Les Walczowski, Director of Learning and Teaching presents the use of SharePoint as a framework for a Learning Management Portal System for students in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts |
