OpenAthens Workshops

In Spring 2009 Eduserv hosted a series of complementary workshops for OpenAthens administrators and technical staff.

At the OpenAthens Workshops attendees could:

• learn about and see the latest developments Eduserv has planned for OpenAthens in 2009
• preview OpenAthens LA 2.0, a major upgrade to OpenAthens LA 1.0 (AthensDA) that supports Shibboleth
• see the improvements we have made to simplify and ease the use of OpenAthens Managed Directory for Athens Administrators
• learn about the usability developments and new tools for helping you to help your staff and students in the MyAthens interface
• find out about pricing of annual subscriptions from August 2009 and your next steps

As well as overviews of OpenAthens developments, service and support, there will be two breakout sessions for librarians and IT staff to attend;

• OpenAthens LA 2.0 in detail (technical)
• Review the new tools and usability improvements in the Athens Administrator and MyAthens interfaces (admin)
